Kru Faizal Karmal – Muay Thai Coach

Kru Faizal has been training in Muay Thai for 15 years. He is certified under Kru Ed Advincula of Tiger Muay Thai with affiliation to Muay Thai USA. Faizal has had amateur fights in Toronto, as well as MArquette Michigan. He continues to train having extreme passion for the art, and helps in training new students and upcoming students and upcoming athletes.

Chris ‘The Banana’ DaCosta – Muay Thai Coach

Chris is a certified Level 1 Coach with Kickboxing Ontario (KO) and the Council of Amateur Sport Kickboxing (CASK). He has been training and competing at Point Blank for over a year, and is renewed for his energy both inside and outside of the ring. Chris is a member of the 2009 National Team and will be representing Canada at this year’s World Championships in Austria.

Aaron Montgomery – Boxing Coach

Aaron helps in the development of our boxers. He has been boxing competitively with Coach Paul for over 3 years, and is a Level 1 Boxing coach with Boxing Ontario and the Canadian Amateur Boxing Association (CABA).

Steve Hyatt – MMA/JKD Coach

Steve assists teaching our Tiny Tigers classes. He has has been training in Jeet Kune Do for several years, having had the priviledge of training with such instrcutors as Dan Inosanto, and Larry Hartsell. He has been training in MMA/JKD at Point Blank for the past few years and coaching our junior competition team.

Paul Oddi
Paul Oddi is the founder and head coach of Point Blank CrossFit and Point Blank Martial Arts and Fitness.
Paul has had extensive experience working with and producing high performance athletes. In his 12 years as a coach and trainer his clients and students have included marathon runners, football players, wrestlers, hockey players, a CFL Player, and other personal trainers. He has personally produced 4 Provincial Thai Boxing Champions, a National Title holder, and a multitude of recreational and competitive atheletes from ages 3 and up.
He is proud to have personally brought 3 Amateur Sports to York Region (Muay Thai/Thai Boxing, Boxing, and Olympic Weightlifting), and to have introduced the region’s first general fitness program for young children (Fit Kid).
“I became aware of CrossFit about three years ago and was immediately drawn to it. The parrallels between CrossFit training and the way elite athletes train was immediately evident. The difference being that CrossFit is not just for performance athletes, but anyone who wants to acheive improvements in their overall health and fitness. Paula Rivard-More
Paula is a Certified Kinesiologist, with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Laurentian University (Class of 1994), and has been a personal trainer since 1994.
Through her education, work experience in multidisciplinary health clinics, and years of training clients, Paula has found that her education has been an integral part of establishing her effcetive style, and that the sound knowledge in human anatomy, physiology, psychology, biomechanics and ergonomics provides her with the means to help them acheive new fitness heights.
“My true passion in life is working with my clients in the gym, one-on-one, and online and helping them effectively acheive their fitness goals.”
In her spare time Paula likes golfing, running half marathons, performing triathlons, weight training, participating in Cross-fit and enjoying time with her family.

Aaron Broad
Aaron is an avid CrossFitter who was introduced to Crossfit by a friend in early 2005 and have been hooked ever since. He believes that a solid understanding of the foundational movements in the CrossFit repertoire and maintaining a standard while performing them is of top priority.
“A solid nutritional base is required in order to achieve an elite level of performance, as well as optimal health.”
Aaron is willing to work one on one with clients who would like to address a specific goal or weakness, or is interested in using nutrition to pursue a higher level of performance.
