A Question of Honour – A New Beginning Results

Thanks to Kru Chris Kew and the guys from MAs Thaiboxing for putting on a great show yeaterday in Cambridge. Dekota Stevens lost his match against Danny Calma from MAS by decision after the 3rd Rounds. Carter McGhie faced the very skilled Justin Garant, also of MAS Thai Boxing, by decision after the 3rd round.

Unfortunately, due to paperwork problem Daniel Spatafora was unable to proceed with his match against Trevor Bernard, of the Ottawa Academy of Martial Arts. This was especially disappointing as Trevor family had travelled such a long way for the match. We hpe to see these two athletes faceoff in the future.

We look forward to seeing these guys compete in the New Year. We also wish Carter luck in his participation in next weekends Provincial Thai Boxing Champsionships in Burlington.

No Way Out Results

Congratulations to Adam Sottile, Brad Graham and Carter McGhie who competed Saturday Night in Rochester New York.

Adam Brad lost his Thai Match match, against Osman Borcilo 0f LaVallee’s Martial Arts, when the referee stopped the match in the middle of the 3rd rounds; as Adam appeared too exhausted to continue to properly keep his hands up for the remainder of the bout. Desppite this setback Adam put on a great performance in his debut bout with only a week and a half to propertly prepare himself for the match.

Carter won his Thai Boxing bout after the 1st round, against Omar Elsamid of Team Empowerment, when his opponent was unable to continue the bout.

Brad Graham lost his bout in the 2nd when the referee stopped the bout due to Brad receiving a fractured nose from his opponent Eric Pulmeri of WNY BJJ & Kickboxing. Brad was certainly holding his own against his more experienced opponent, but his injury cost him the bout.

Great work guys!

2 Wins at Golden Tiger Fight Night in Hanover

Congratulations to Brad Graham and Andrew Spatafora on their wins this past weekend at the Golden Tiger Kung-Fu Fight Night in Hanover.

Both Brad and Andrew won their fights by unanimous decision after the 3rd rounds. Despite an over 2 year absence from competition Andrew did an excellent job against his opponent Sheldon Davey from MAS Thai Boxing in Cambridge . He dominated most of the 3 rounds despite tweaking his shoulder at the end of the 2nd round, and hesitating to use his cross in the 3rd, still coming out on top with a unanimous decision by the judges to win the fight

Brad faced his much taller opponent Raymond Rock from Golden Tiger Kung Fu, in Hanover, who came out using his reach to keep Brad at a distance. The crowd was certainly on the hometown boy’s side, but Brad landed some solid punches, while continually pressing and attacking his head and body with a barrage of punches, giving him a third round unanimous decision.

Undisputed Results

Congratulations to Carter McGhie and Brad Graham on their performances this past Saturday at Undisputed in Liverpool New York.

Brad lost a hard fought split decision, in a low-kick match, to Frank Scalzo of WNY BJJ & Kickboxing. Despite the lose it was Brad’s opponent who looked the worse for wear by the end of the fight.

Carter lost his Thai Boxing bout to Kevin VanNostrand of LaVallee’s Kickboxing after the referee stopped the fight after he received a 3rd standing 8 count in the 2nd round. Despite the lose Carter put on a great performace against a very skilled opponent.

We are very proud of both of these athletes and look forward to their next fights

Congratulations to our participants in the 2010 Ontario Winter Games
