CrossFit ‘On-Ramp’ Program

The ‘On-Ramp’ program is a 4 session (2 times per week for 2 weeks) program designed to systematically introduce you to CrossFit and put you on the road to better health and fitness. Includes 2 weeks of Unlimited CrossFit classes after you complete your 4 sessions.

CrossFit is not just about a daily workout (Workout of the Day – aka WOD) posted on a website. It is a community of like minded, hard working people who believe in a system of short, intense, contantly varied exercises and its supporting nutritional principles. The exercises are full body, functional, and demand attention to form.

The ‘On-Ramp’ Program emphasis is on skill development and exposure to our basic movements. We will be hammering technique for your safety and your success.

These sessions will provide you with the following:

  • An understanding of the CrossFit methodology. You’ll gain an understanding of the ten elements of fitness and how our programming in the gym will help you get fitter in every way. You will absolutely underdstand and be able to explain to your friends, co-workers or spouse why you are not going to be spending 30 minutes every day on the treadmill.
  • How to perform the 9 fundamental CrossFit movements using proper form and technique, including Olympic Lifts. Olympic lifts are an essential part of CrossFit programming. You will also practice all the exercises that will appear in our group workouts.
  • Learn the progressions for exercises that may take you a few weeks or months to master. For example, if you cannot do a handstand push up we will show you the variations that can get you working towards this gymnastics element. This is the scaling that makes it possible for you to workout alongside people who have very different athletic capabilities.
  • You will receive basic nutrition information so that you can begin the process of optimizing your bodies performance. We all want to get lean, lose fat and keep muscle. Workouts with crappy dietary habits will not achieve this for you. CrossFit workouts are demanding and an important part of benefitting from them is having the nutritional basis to recover and build on your hard work!
  • During these sessions you will get a great workout. They will get progressively more challenging as you progress through the program.

 To register for an On-Ramp session you must complete the following steps:

  1. Click the ‘Buy Now’ button which corresponds to the session you wish to attend. You will be taken to PayPal to complete the registeration payment.
  2. Send an email to info@pointblank.ca and include your full registration name, the session date(s) of the ‘On-Ramp’ you would like to attend and your PayPal transaction/recipt #.
  3. We will send you a confirmation email your enrollement in the class, subject to space availability for that session.
  4. Arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of your first session to complete a waiver form. Wear something comfortable to workout in, and bring a lot of water.NOTE: You must bring your receipt with you or you will not be permitted to join class. 24 hours notice is required to cancel/change your selected date or you will not be permitted to attend an alternate session.
