Physical Fitness refers to the capacity of an athlete to meet the varied demands of a physical activity for a measured length of time, intensity, load and frequency
COMPONENTS OF FITNESS:

Body Composition: The ratio of fat/lean mass.

Cardiovascular Endurance: The hearts ability to deliver blood to working muscles and their ability to use it over time/intensity.

Stamina: The ability to perform movements for extended repetitions over time.

Strength: The extent to which muscled can exert force against resistance.

Speed: The ability to minimize the time cycle of movement

Flexibility: The ability to maximize the range of motion at joints.

Isolated Muscular Endurance: A single muscles ability to perform sustained work over time.
MOTOR FITNESS (SKILL BASED):​

Agility: The ability to perform a series of movements in succession in opposing directions.

Balance: The ability to control the bodies centre of gravity either moving or stationary.

Co-ordination: The ability to combine distinct movement patterns together.

Accuracy: The ability to control a limb or object in a given direction.

Power: The ability to exert a maximal force in a minimal time - "Strength x Speed".

Reaction Time: The time taken to respond to a given stimulus.
